We don’t provide direct support to victim/survivors. Our get help page provides a list of organisations and services that can help and provide support. If you are in danger please call 999 the police emergency number immediately.

 You are not to blame.

A victim who has been abused over a period of time may “normalise” the abuse. The abuser will blame the victim for what has happened.

Some people who have been strangled feel embarrassed or feel that they are to blame. This is never the case.
