There is No Safe Way to Strangle

The increased publicity around so called “choking”, more accurately termed strangulation, during consensual sexual activity has prompted the Institute for Addressing Strangulation to issue a position statement. There are many misconceptions being presented. We wish to inform any discussion, that from a clinical and legal perspective, strangulation is dangerous. To say otherwise is both reckless and dangerous.
