Part 2 is a review of existing research on how strangulation is depicted in the media. It explores the presence of strangulation in different types of media from true crime podcasts to erotic books and film. The impact that the media can have on our perceptions of societal issues such as strangulation and violence against women and girls is displayed through this review of literature.
