Join us as we explore the latest research and data on strangulation and what this tells us about the prevalence, experiences and understanding of strangulation within different contexts amongst young people.
Conference outline
You will hear about the political efforts taking place to address gender based abuse amongst young people and how this will feed in to the governments VAWG strategy.
We will also explore the role of health and criminal justice in addressing strangulation amongst young people.
We will also be presenting our findings from a large-scale survey we are conducting this summer looking at the prevalence of strangulation within sex. The data will be broken down to provide a picture of what young people are being exposed to and exposing others to when it comes to strangulation and the external factors at play.
