Conference outline<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We will be looking at the<\/span>\u00a0\u2018<\/span>Whole Systems Approach<\/span>\u2019<\/span>\u00a0to NFS and exploring how organisations can work together to understand prevalence and save lives.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that VAWG has been recognised as an epidemic and a case of domestic terrorism what comes next?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We will explore the role of health \u2013 be that a paramedic, A&E doctor, GP or even midwife. How are pathways being developed and what are the challenges facing the health system?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We will also be looking at the role of the Criminal Justice System and hearing from a victim\/survivor of strangulation.\u00a0<\/span>How is NFS represented throughout the criminal justice system and how does the system support victims? And\u00a0<\/span>to understand the short- and long- term effects of strangulation and to learn first<\/span>\u2013<\/span>hand what is being done well, and where improvements can be made.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
